Privacy Policy
We built Momkick for moms, by a mom. Your privacy and your children's privacy are at the heart of everything we do.
Last updated: April 2026
Momkick is a private, invitation-only community app for mothers. We are operated by Lauren Hulsey. You can reach us at lauren@momkick.com with any privacy-related questions.
Momkick is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not allow children to create accounts. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at lauren@momkick.com and we will remove it.
All children's profile data is entered and controlled entirely by you, the parent. Momkick does not interact with or collect information directly from children.
When adding activities, you may optionally search for and attach a location (such as a school or sports field). This is done through Google Places and is stored as a plain text address. We do not track your device's GPS location.
If you enable features like Reminders or the Mom Brain daily briefing, we store your notification time preferences so the app can deliver alerts at the right time. All notifications are delivered locally on your device and are not sent through third-party ad networks.
We track invite codes to enforce our invitation-only community and count successful referrals. A code is marked as used only after a successful account creation.
We use Supabase as our backend provider. Standard server logs may capture timestamps and error logs for debugging purposes. We do not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDKs.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with data brokers.
Momkick complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We have built security into every layer of Momkick:
All accounts are protected by Supabase Auth, which uses industry-standard secure token authentication. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. This includes all app data, photos, and messages.
Photos you upload (profile pictures, milestone photos, post images) are stored in isolated, access-controlled storage buckets. Your files can only be accessed by your account.
Momkick is not publicly open. New users can only join with a valid invitation code from an existing member, keeping the community trusted.
We do not integrate advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics platforms, or data brokers. No third party receives your data for commercial purposes.
Momkick is a social app, which means some of what you share is visible to others:
Children's data is never shared with other users under any circumstances.
Our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Data is stored on their infrastructure. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Used only when you search for a location when adding an activity. Only the text of the address you select is stored. Google's privacy policy applies to this search interaction.
If you choose to sync an activity to your device calendar, this is done directly on your device using iOS's native calendar integration. We do not have access to your device calendar.
Reminders and Mom Brain briefings are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not use push notification services that route your data through ad networks.
The "Fill in for me" feature on the Add Activity screen uses a natural language service to parse descriptions into activity fields. When you use this feature, only your typed description and today's date are processed. No names, no children's data, no account information, and no location history are transmitted. Kid name matching happens entirely on your device. This feature is optional and off by default.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting lauren@momkick.com. Upon a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete:
Some data may be retained briefly in backups before being fully purged.
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at lauren@momkick.com.
Momkick may send you local notifications for features you have opted into, such as kid reminders and the Mom Brain daily briefing. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn off all notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings under Momkick, or by disabling individual features within the app.
Momkick is a peer-to-peer community platform. Content posted by members, including advice, recommendations, opinions, and information related to parenting, health, child development, nutrition, education, or any other topic, is shared by individual users and is not verified, endorsed, reviewed, or approved by Momkick.
Nothing shared on Momkick constitutes professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other licensed professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your child's health, development, education, or wellbeing.
Momkick is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content posted by community members. You use and act on any information shared in this app at your own discretion and risk.
Momkick's Give & Receive feature facilitates connections between community members who wish to donate or receive items. Momkick strongly advises against meeting strangers in person. We recommend contact-free drop-offs at well-lit public locations such as park entrances, library lobbies, or community center drop boxes during daytime hours.
If you choose to meet another user in person to exchange items, you do so entirely at your own risk. Momkick is not responsible for any harm, loss, theft, injury, or other incident arising from in-person exchanges arranged through the app. We do not verify the identity, criminal history, or intentions of any user.
Tips for safe exchanges: meet only in public places, bring a friend if possible, let someone know where you are going, do not invite unknown parties to your home, and trust your instincts. If anything feels wrong, do not proceed.
Verified Organizations displayed in Give & Receive have been manually reviewed by Momkick but this verification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any organization's practices, safety, or legitimacy. Donations are made at the user's own discretion.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you through the app. Your continued use of Momkick after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We will always update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
